International education "in the news"

Taylor Kuether, the student journalist who was part of our China delegation, wrote a wonderful first-person account of her experiences in today's Eau Claire Leader-Telegram. It's interesting to read about the trip through the eyes of one of our talented students. Taylor's story is "Reporter gets new perspective as part of UW-EC delegation to China."

Also, in the Leader-Telegram this weekend was a story about UW-Eau Claire advancing its international programs as demonstrated by two separate national reports. "UW-Eau Claire advances international programs" focuses on the 2012 Open Doors Report of the Institute for International Education, which recognizes the high number of UW-Eau Claire students who study abroad. The story also talks about a study that found that international students studying at UW-Eau Claire add a significant amount of money to the Chippewa Valley economy.

It's wonderful to see our efforts to "bring Eau Claire to the world and the world to Eau Claire" getting some attention in our local media!
